Allah mentions
“Highly exalted is He [Allah] who took His servant, [The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ,] by night from the Sacred Masjid [at Makkah] to al-Aqsa Masjid [at Jerusalem] – the surroundings of which We have blessed – to show him [something] of Our [wondrous] signs. Indeed it is He [Allah] who is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.”
(Surat al-Isa’, verse 1)
The Qur’an and Prophetic narrations are abundant with mention of the virtues and religious significance of al-Masjid al-Aqsa: one of Islam’s most important holy sites. As such, al-Masjid al-Aqsa holds a very dear place in our hearts as Muslims.
