The early period of Islam was an extremely difficult time for the Sahabah (May Allah be well pleased with all of them). Yet despite being oppressed and persecuted for their faith, they remained steadfast upon Islam. Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (May Allah be well pleased with him) was the first adult man to embrace Islam. He is renowned for his dedication and sincerity towards Allah and His final Messenger ﷺ .He was the most beloved person to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .He is the best of
mankind after the Prophets.
Abu Bakr (May Allah be well pleased with him) accompanied the Prophet ﷺon the hijrah
(migration) to Madinah. He was the one chosen to lead the prayer in Madinah during the final
illness of the Prophet ﷺ .He was also the chosen first Khalifah of the Muslims after the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ passed away. In this webinar we will explore the early and later life of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (May Allah be well pleased with him), his dedication and respect for the Messenger ﷺ ,and his contribution to Islam.

Teacher Bio: Shaykh Tahir Ahmed Khan
Shaykh Tahir commenced the ‘Alimiyyah programme at Dar al-‘Ulum al-‘Arabiyyah al-Islamiyyah
(Bury, UK), where he spent three years studying the Islamic sciences. He then went on to
continue his studies at Miftah al-‘Ulum (Blackburn, UK), where he spent a further five years and
completed the ‘Alimiyyah programme.
