Fasting in Ramadan is the third pillar of Islam and has immense virtue,
reward and benefits. This special webinar for Muslim teenagers will highlight the value and
reward for fasting in Ramadan, along with rulings related to fasting.
The virtue and reward for fasting in Ramadan is immense. Fasting in general is a valuable act of
worship for Muslims, and fasting in the blessed month of Ramadan is a religious obligation and
among the most beloved of actions to Allah that a believer can perform.
The Prophet (Allāh bless him and grant him peace) said: Allāh said: “Every good deed of the
son of Ādam (peace be upon him) is for himself – except fasting – which is for Me. And I shall
give its reward.” Indeed the smell which emanates from the mouth of a fasting person is more
pleasing to Allāh than the smell of musk. (Saḥīḥ al-Bukhārī)
